The project is expected to create up to 3,178 new construction jobs state-wide over the construction period and around 91 direct and indirect jobs state-wide to operate the facility. Regionally, the project is expected to create an average of 1,652 jobs over the construction period and support approximately 63 jobs per year during the operation of the facility.

The employment benefits extend through the local supply chains to fuel supply, vehicle servicing, uniform suppliers, hotels/motels, B&B’s, cafés, pubs, catering, cleaning companies, tradespersons, tool & equipment suppliers, earth moving and many other businesses.
