Twin Creek Wind Farm

A new wind farm project in Australia

Environmental Benefits

The project has substantial environmental benefits including:

  • Minimal impact on the productivity of traditional farming activities;
  • The land can be rehabilitated to its original condition at the end of the project when all above ground infrastructure is removed;
  • Smaller environmental footprint than comparative forms of electricity generation;
  • Additional fire breaks, water supplies and improved access roads for firefighting;
  • Deliver up to 270 MW of new, low-cost renewable energy capacity to help achieve the State’s renewable energy goals and contribute to Australia’s transition to renewable energy;
  • Generate enough clean, affordable energy to power close to 213,000 average South Australian homes a year;
  • Offset up to 263,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year over the life of the project (approximately 30 years).
